Weekly Feature - Pinz Pinz Pinz PLUS competition!

We received some lovely cupcakes in the post recently, unfortunately not the edible sort, but none the less it was a delicious package from Pinz Pinz Pinz. Pinz Pinz Pinz were established in June 2000 in London and are at the forefront of manufacturing and retailing hijab pins. They have the biggest collection of retail and wholesale hijab pins on the web claim to not only be of great value but also exceptional quality.

The cutest content of the parcel was the cupcake pin cushion. Ive been meaning to get one for a while and this is great in both size and appeal. It had a wafer like stick on top, I wasn't too keen on this so cut it off, however apart from that I love it, Ive been using it for a couple of weeks and it can fit a great amount of pins and looks great on the dressing table. The cute flower pinz are are also available to purchase from their website and add a cute addition to any plain hijab or even on the side of a blazer or jacket.

This hijab is made from a chiffon like material and is very large is both width and dimension, the light and airy fabric is not slippery which is a great bonus as you can wear it with or without a underscarf and its material allows you to volumise it quite easily should you not choose to wear a flower clip. Its striking in detail and very easy to drape.I really liked the detail on the flowers.

As we are experiencing the glory of the April showers this month and it seems to be raining every day we bought a really light and airy parka jacket, this slips easily into your bag and you can wear it over anything you wear. The festival look is likely to be fashion trend this summer and this is a must have if your thinking of camping or attending a festival. I teamed it with some tan suede boots which are not ideal in the rainy weather but very comfortable.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS brooch. This is the 'vintage inspired double brooch'. I wasn't sure at first whether to wear this on my hijab, but then thought it looked very nice across the jacket. It not only adds a bit of bling but easily dresses up a plain outfit, I'm confident it would look even nicer on the side of a hijab.

Lovestruck Online is a small business which sell contemporary and vintage inspired jewellery and scarves as well as other accessories. It aims to house the latest jewellery and draws its influence from high fashion and current trends. They also sell many one off pieces so always check out their website incase anything catches your eye!

Outfit 1
This red equestrian scarf is very striking, especially when teamed with a plain outfit, it is made of chiffon but has a very silk like feel to it.
The vintage style detail is exceptionally beautiful. the detailed chain print is very in style at the moment and I would also probably wear this for a business meeting as a neck scarf or team it with a plain business suit. The chiffon is quite slippery so I had to add a plain non slip scarf under and keep it in place with plenty of pins.

The rope bracelet is in line with this seasons style of string bracelets, it has a diamante detailed stud on the clasp and adds a bit of bling to an outfit. The nautical style ring is also in line with this springs nautical fashion and the anchor design will look very suited with a relaxed casual outfit

Outfit 2
This is a casual relaxed outfit I wore for an evening out shopping and to the cinema. The pink flamingo scarf is very casual and soft, again it is made from a chiffon like material thus requires plenty of pins to keep it in place. The soft pink and peach tones add a very feminine tone and it can be dressed up or down. The cape style was very big a few years ago however it will always be a timeless piece and can be worn all year round, especially considering our unpredictable weather! The boots no doubt are my favourite purchase of 2011. I simply love them, due to the zip detailing.

Weekly Feature: Fancy Wraps

This weeks post is featuring headscarves from the newly formed Hijab company Fancy Wraps.
The company operates through facebook and provides headscarves and accessories. At the moment it has a basic but good collection of scarves that are very reasonably priced. It also caters towards providing more occasion wear scarves.

Scarf One-Crinkled Scarf

This scarf is slightly smaller in length then I would normally wear, however the volume of the scarf makes up for it, as you do not need to wrap it more then once. Here I have pinned it at the neck, and used a broach at the side to gather the left over material. I have used a bandana underneath and wore the scarf loosely, making it perfect for summer.

Boots-Carvella, Jeans-River Island, Bag-Urban Outfitters, Fur Waistcoat-Zara, Scarf-Fancy Wraps
Scarf Two-Flower Cut out Hijab

This scarf is perfect for an occasion, and to give your outfit that extra POP! It is really different from what I have seen before and looks better on then you would think. It is black on one side, and pink with cut out flowers on the others. It is very soft and drapes easily. It is available in many colours on their facebook page here
Full Outfit: Blazor-Verda Moda, Scarf-Fancy Wraps
 Scarf Three-Ruffled Purple Leopard Scarf

When I first saw this scarf, I thought it was lovely but wasn't sure if I could wear it as it quite silky with ruffled edging. However, it actually is a great scarf for an occasion, like a party or wedding, or even can be worn around the neck for work. I have wrapped the scarf, and left the ruffled edging out which gives it volume around the neck. This scarf is also available in other colours from the Fancy Wrap facebook page here.

Overall I have to say the scarves are quite different and really 'fancy' which makes them perfect addition to a dull outfit, or for an occasion. The prices are quite reasonable starting from £5, and so I would say, put Fancy Wraps down on your list to check out when you next need some scarves.
